Outlook on Mobile Devices - Android or iPhone/iPad (iOS)

Setting up CSU Email on a Mobile Device
There is some really helpful documentation available on how to set up your CSU email on your phone. Look at this section: Connect your Mobile Device to your Office 365 Account - Configure an Android Device to connect to Office 365 - Configure an iPhone or iPad to connect to Office 365 I don't believe that you need to install Outlook unless you want to keep the mail in a separate application. Duo Self-Service Provided by Central IT
There is a collection of self-service resources available here: https://www.acns.colostate.edu/duo/ which pertain to setting up and troubleshooting DUO. If you're still having issues after following the step-by-step guide for registering your first device then the next best step is to reach out to Central IT support. Their hours of availability and contact information are listed on the page linked above. If after trying to follow the self-service guides and reaching out to Central IT for support you're still having issues, then please email oee_helpdesk@colostate.edu and we'll see what we can do to offer additional assistance.

GlobalProtect "Stale Session" Errors
If you have been receiving a “Stale Request” error when trying to validate your VPN session with the newly implemented GlobalProtect client, please read through and follow the steps below to circumvent this issue. How to Fix the “Stale Session” Error in GlobalProtect From the start menu, type “GlobalProtect” Click on the burger menu (top right corner). Most likely, your session will still display as active in the portal “gateway.colostate.edu”; click on the “Sign Out” button (see image below) Then click on “Connect” When redirected to the eID Login screen, enter your eName and eID password, then use your mouse to click on the “Login” button (circled below in blue) Do Not Use The Enter Key on your keyboard! From there, authenticate with Duo. When the connection is successful, the GlobalProtect screen will display as “Connected” Click “Disconnect” to end the session as needed.

Reset Outlook Links to Default Browser
In Outlook choose File > Options (bottom left) > Advanced in the window that pops up after selecting Options. under File and browser preferences change "Open hyperlinks from Outlook" to Default Browser instead of MS Edge

Adding a Shared Mailbox to your Desktop Outlook
Adding a Shared Mailbox to your Outlook 1. In Outlook, click on File in the upper right corner 2. Click “Add Account” 3. Type in the email address of the shared mailbox, then click Connect. This might take a couple minutes 4. On the Sign in splash screen, replace the shared mailbox address with your eID/NetID email address (NOT your firstname.lastname email), then click Next If you are immediately prompted for a password, click "Sign in with a different account" first. 5. Next, enter your eID/NetID password and click Sign in. Authenticate with DUO if prompted. 6. On the Account Successfully Added splash screen click Done 7. After restarting Outlook, you will have the shared mailbox listed under your primary inbox. You can have up to 10 inboxes in your Outlook, including your primary inbox. Adding Shared Mailboxes to Outlook on the Web
The web version of outlook is available at https://outlook.office.com/mail/ To add a shared mailbox, right click the Folders area/word (not Inbox) and choose "Add Shared folder or Mailbox" In the box that pops up put in the email address of the mailbox and click Add. You can also open the mailbox separately (in its own window) by going to https://outlook.office.com/mail/ and appending the email address to the url after mail/ The right-click method can also be used for the new version of outlook, but you will right click your first.last email address in the left hand pane, and it will appear under a folder titled Shared with me.
